Mark Hill will also launch his new book at the fair, where he will be selling and signing copies. Sklo: Czech Glass Design from the 1950s-70s is a considerably revised and enlarged version of his first ground-breaking book on the subject, Hi Sklo Lo Sklo, which was published in 2008 and sold out two years later. A great many new designs and designers have been added across each chapter, and previously unpublished information carefully researched over the past eight years has been included.

At 224 pages long, this colourful new publication includes chapters on hot-worked, pressed, cut, engraved, gilded and enamelled designs, with full captions explaining each design. A revised, fully illustrated introduction also gives an overview of the fascinating story behind the creation of these avant garde works, and designer biographies explain more about the people behind them. With over 300 specially commissioned, full colour images including labels and signatures, this book will be invaluable to glass collectors and 20th century design enthusiasts.

The market for mid-century modern Czech glass had boomed over the past few years, making it one of the most vibrant and exciting areas in 20th century glass collecting, and this book reveals the secrets behind it. Mark will also select his 'Top Tení designs from the book for an exclusive exhibition at the fair. Each piece will be displayed together with an informative card explaining the story behind each piece.
